In 2015, I completed my diploma studies in translating and interpreting at the Department of Translation Science at Innsbruck University. Since 2016, I have been working as a freelance translator and interpreter.

 

I am a member of UNIVERSITAS Austria  (the Translators' and Interpreters' Association) and  a member of the Austrian Economic Chamber.

Education

After my high-school degree I started studying translating and interpreting at the Department of Translation Science at Innsbruck University in 2006. During my studies I spent a year abroad at the Universidad Central del Ecuador in Quito. Furthermore, I spent a semester at Westminster University in London and a semester at Granada University in Spain. After completing my degree in translating, I spent three months in Mexico at the Universidad Intercultural Maya de Quintana Roo to collect information for my diploma thesis for my interpreting studies. In 2015 I completed my final interpreting exams.


Work experience

During my year abroad in Ecuador I worked as a trainee at UNICEF/DINEIB (Dirrección Nacional de Educación Intercultural Bilingüe). In 2011 I worked as an intern at the European Commission Representation in London. Since 2008, I have been a language trainer for English preparing young students for their final English exams and teaching Business English classes for adults. Between December 2014 and February 2015 I worked as an accounting trainee at Filmhaus Wien. During this internship I had the opportunity to be part of an international film production (Spectre). Between March 2015 and February 2016 I worked as Client Services Coordinator at the International Children's Games in Innsbruck. In May 2016, I started my work as translator and interpreter on a full-time basis.
